At The Blind Spot Comedy Club, accessibility, diveristy, and inclusion are some of our highest priorities. We serve the greater Austin community by providing inclusive and accessible comedy at accessible prices. We believe in compensating our performers fairly. We offer financial incentives for producing shows at our venue by splitting ticket sales to our showrunners directly. Individual performance rates are paid at the discretion of the show-runners. Blind Spot provides the venue space during show time, paid marketing for your show, free rehearsal space, and staff support. All shows are guaranteed a 40% split on ticket sales, regardless of the number of tickets sold. For shows that specifically showcase underreprested groups, such as the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities, we provide a 50% split on ticket sales. Shows that are considered “practice” or “workshops” do not receive a payout from the box office, this includes open mics, jams, community events, and student troupes.
